Once a year you should see your vet for a general checkup. It is best to combine this with the annual vaccinations. Cats should be dewormed twice a year but it is not necessary to see your vet for that, the procedure is easily done at home.

Standard vaccinations are recommended for pure house cats as well, for they can be infected with diseases passively, for example due to contact with our street shoes.

It is important to trust the vet you have chosen. Do not be afraid to choose another vet if you simply can not find a common denominator. Not everybody likes everybody or is liked by everybody and sadly, there are some black sheep even in the ranks of veterinarians.
